31 MARCH - 01 APRIL 2014
About the conference
Despite the Holocaust, and other crimes committed by the Nazi regime in World War II, the world has ever since then been exposed to repeated cases of mass atrocities.
On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the genocide in Rwanda (1994-2014) and the upcoming commemoration of the July 1995 Srebrenica genocide, the International Conference to be held in Brussels, on March 31 and April 1, 2014 will address this central issue.
The Conference will focus on 4 aspects: (1) the status of academic research on genocide; (2) an integrated international human rights law - international criminal law perspective; (3) role of civil society and (4) parliaments and institutional responses.
